INTRODUCTION TO LAMPWORKING, $100
Explore the art of bead making with a 2-hour introduction to torch work. During this course, we will cover studio set-up, safety, equipment, flame adjustment, types of glass and how to make mandrel beads. Work one-on-one with your instructor and make a handful of beads to take home! Additional hours $40/each.
INTRODUCTION TO LAMPWORKING, BOROSILICATE, $140
Similar to soft glass, borosilicate glass is worked in the flame yet it melts at higher temperatures. 2-hours of one-on-one instruction. Additional hours $50/each.
INTERMEDIATE LESSONS, $350
Once you have the basics down, learn to blow hollow glass vessels. Together with your instructor, you may choose the technique you want to learn during your lesson time. One-on-one instruction time is balanced with individual practice time. 5 hours. Additional hours $50/each.
ADVANCED LESSONS, Negotiated Price
This program is designed to provide a solid technical and aesthetic knowledge about lampworking. The glass you make pays for your lessons if you fulfill your obligations and time commitments. This program requires strong dedication and a lot of patience. Watch master blowers for 2 weeks then begin torch work by making beads. Work your way into hollow vessels as you become fluent with each task.
· You must be at least 18 years of age.
· You must purchase glasses & books.
· You must commit to 40 hours per week for 12 months.

TORCH RENTALS
Experience Required. We provide the torch and gases. You provide your own materials and tools. If you are in need of any, you may purchase them from our store or pay an additional fee to rent tools. Please come in to reserve your time. Advance payment is required.
Minor $12.50/hour
GTT Bobcat $12.50/hour
GTT Mirage $16.00/hour
Carlisle CC $20.00/hour
Kiln $10-20/hour
PREPARATION FOR GLASS BLOWING:
Tie back long hair. Wear non-flammable clothing. If you wear glasses, please notify your instructor prior to your lesson to make sure our protective lenses fit over your own.
The fine print: All prices are subject to change. All lessons and rentals must be booked and paid in advance. An indemnification / release agreement is required prior to working. You must be 18 years of age or older and able to work in the USA.
